Scala are a Supply chain and logistics consultancy with a strong reputation and long standing history in the logistics sector. They had a pre-existing website that had been live for some time.


Although fully understanding of the importance of keeping their website up to date, Scala felt that their branding which had been appropriate when originally created, had begun to look dated and needed a refresh.

In particular, they felt it didn't reflect their current commitment to innovation and developing best practise, and no longer reflected their reputation as industry leaders.

The challenge was simple, to bring Scala's brand up to date, and build them a website that accurately reflected their business in the current day. Above all, the requirement was to give the impression of modernity and innovation in what is usually a bland and unimaginatively branded market sector.


As you would expect with a brochure style website, the project required the largest emphasis to be placed on design and branding. By retaining elements from the previous brand so that the new site was still recognisable to existing Scala clients, and by introducing illustrations, softer fonts and a warmer colour palette, we created a new brand that was modern, friendly and yet still authoritative. We created a cleaner more simplified layout that was easier to navigate, and put key selling messages in prominent places to re-enforce company values.

The website has been extremely well received by existing and new clients alike and has contributed significantly to Scala achieve their branding aims.
